Had a great time with friends here! We enjoyed the fantastic steak and the lovely ambiance during our stay. The staff were friendly and accommodating, helping us start our vacation off right. The decor was charming, and it was a perfect base for our visits to local attractions. Just a heads up, you might want to check meal availability ahead if you're planning to dine in.
We did have a bit of a hiccup as the bar closed earlier than expected, limiting our options for a nightcap.

Great atmosphere with pet-friendly features
I had a lovely stay in a Superior Double Room, where the charming decor and pet-friendly policies made it feel like home. The friendly staff were attentive and made sure I had everything I needed, including a hearty breakfast with fresh ingredients. The only downside was that the noise from the pub could be a bit loud at times, especially during busy hours.

The refurbishment adds a modern twist while keeping the original flagstones and beams, creating a cozy vibe. The menu boasts a diverse selection, and the chicken fillet burger I tried hit the spot, flavorful and filling.
WiFi is practically non-existent. a serious drawback nowadays when folks are dependent on it. The morning experience was frustrating—the breakfast area was deserted, and despite calling for assistance, I ended up skipping breakfast altogether. If you're over six feet tall, you'll want to watch your head with the low ceilings. Plus, the kettle in the room required some serious finesse to operate, which shouldn't be the case. While none of these issues were dealbreakers, they are definitely things that could use some attention.
